Yuna Ito's new song?
eunhye
[info]gwing0

I admit, I did NOT watch a single episode of Gundam 00 season 1 and 2 despite all the hype. BUT maybe I should start watching cos Yuna's song is the 2nd ending. Yes, you can call me freaking biased or just a crazy fanboy (of Yuna's).

Cos for now, I'm just stuck to my "limited" anime of 魍魎の匣 (Moryo no Hako). I highly recommend this for those who like mysterious dramas.

If anybody is willing to "loan" me the whole season 1 and whatever episodes of season 2 (I have no idea which episode it's @ now), I'll be truly grateful!~

The single would be out on 04 March. Now to wait for Yuna's PV...

Mail today?

I received this belated birthday present from Reinnie in the mail today. And it's kinda suitable for sunny Singapore?

Beware of the... )

Thanks Reinnie! XD

A Man Once A Superman (슈퍼맨이었던 사나이)...
yui
[info]gwing0
Okay, I know nuts about the Korean language, but this movie is a must-watch, cos there's Ji-hyun (My Sassy Girl) and it's about Superman, judging from the translated English title?

The end is almost here...

Namie's new single!
yui
[info]gwing0
Namie's new single, 60s 70s 80s would be out in mid-March. What's so unique about this single from the others? The 3 songs (not including the instrumental versions) has her dressed up "according" to the 60s, 70s and 80s style. Furthermore, the 70s song is also used for the Vidal Sassoon ad (which she is also involved).

The 3 songs in her single:
- New Look
- Rock Steady
- What A Feeling

Still waiting for the 3rd video to be out...

Seiyuu cast for Vampire Knight?
yui
[info]gwing0
The seiyuu cast as mentioned in the Vampire Knight website:
- Yui Horie [Yuki Cross]
- Miyano Mamoru [Zero Kiryu]
- Kishio Daisuke [Kaname Kuran]
- Chiba Susumu [Takuma Ichijou]
- Jun Fukuyama [Hanabusa Idou]
- Hoshi Souichiro [Senri Shiki]
- Junichi Suwabe [Akatsuki Kain]

A very impressive cast involved in the anime, so I suppose it's already a big plus?

Movie trailers?
yui
[info]gwing0
What interesting movies would be coming over to our local shores?

- Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
A continuation from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie and judging from the trailer, the movie looks super promising~~~

- The Dark Knight
I wasn't really a fan of Batman (other than the 1st 2 movies), until I watched Batman Begins, which starred Christian Bale as The Dark Knight. The main focus of this new movie though is not about him, but more of Heath Ledger as his arch-nemesis The Joker. This new role sees him pit against the old bird, Jack Nicholson, who acted as The Joker in the 1st Batman movie. (The female lead of the movie is a big WTE?!)

- Mamma Mia
The hit musical with ABBA songs is now shown as a movie!

- CJ7
Stephen Chow's new movie looks funny, especially the alien!

A World to Believe In?

Wonder how Yuna Ito fares singing duet with Celine Dion?

The result? あなたがいる限り - A World to Believe In )

Can't wait for the single to be out!

Vampire Knight?

[info]gwing0
Vampire Knight is going to be released in anime, though no seiyuu cast has been mentioned yet.

Wah, there's such a thing?
yui
[info]gwing0
I just realised one of the benefits of being a Singaporean yesterday after my father complained about the visa application to Japan.

Reason being? It is way way inconvenient as compared to travelling there 6 years ago. The embassy needs to know almost everything about my family (including how much money you have in the money accounts)...

Soccer updates!
yui
[info]gwing0
Haha, England didn't qualify for Euro2008 due to their loss to Croatia @ Wembley.

But I think the funniest quote from a soccer article of the day has to come from David Beckham:

"Money is not important to me. It never has been. It never will be. I would play football for free"

Like really, he's willing to pay for free? Who is he trying to fool, when he's 1 of the highest-paid soccer players in the world?

Mailbox Surprise?
yui
[info]gwing0
It's kinda surprising cos I received a brochure from Godiva air-mailed from Hong Kong in the mailbox yesterday. Wah, they really know how to tempt people...

I think the best part was Auntie Angela giving me a box of Godiva Chocolate-Lune biscuits before flying off. I think I should get myself another to tempt myself~~~ =x

And my brother just showed me this super-old video of how the original song of Gatsby used is released in 1975?
Cut! )

Highly recommended: Nodame Cantabile!
yui
[info]gwing0
Oh god, I just stumbled upon this wonderful anime called Nodame Cantabile and now I'm so in love with it! The songs are so soothing and nice, coupled with the amazing seiyu cast (Tomokazu voices Chiaki)! Shall finish watching the anime 1st, before I start on the manga (oh dreads, why did I only stumble upon it today?~)...

I also found that the live-action's Nodame Orchestra (which performed the opening and ending theme songs for the dorama) was actually selected specially for it!

Anyway, a small wallpaper made by my sis, using the photos which she took of her beloved L. ^^"

Pic here... )

It's a hot Saturday afternoon!

Who is my inner CLAMP character? )

Ah huh, very funny indeed...

Which Tarot Card am I? )

Hmmm, I was hoping for Justice... =x

Hero is coming!~!~!~
yui
[info]gwing0
Takuya Kimura's "Hero" movie is coming to our local shores on 22 Nov (if the poster placed @ DG's MRT station is to be believed)! Can't wait to see my favourite dorama couple!~!~!~

It's kinda funny cos when I watched the dorama during my poly days, I thought it was really "cool" then to be a lawyer after watching and even wanted to switch to the Law & management course (my 2nd choice during my course selection =x).

And I just found the dorama uploaded @ Crunchyroll was actually recorded when Channel 8 used to show it... ^^"

Chage and Aska
yui
[info]gwing0
I heard this super-old Japanese song, Say Yes, by Chage and Aska on 1 of the Chinese radio channels (no idea which radio channel that was) when I took the cab back home from SIM. To think that the song was actually released in the early 90s and it's not difficult to recognise this popular song from them? "Retro" Japanese song, but still nice nonetheless~~~

Tribute to Celine Dion album~~~
yui
[info]gwing0
Wah, it has actually been 10 years since Titanic was shown, since there is the upcoming Tribute to Celine Dion album coming out in late September. The album will consist of cover songs from the various JPop artistes, of which I'm looking forward to Yuna's version of My Heart Will Go On most. ^_^

And the songs are:
